This is the last of the four updates I had ready for you! It’s one of my favourite families: Caroline Walker and her girlfriend Clair. Last season they opened up a comedy club together and Claire reached her LTW of becoming a Hall of Famer (top Athletic). At the end of the season they’d made quite a bit of money and decided to move to a house at the seaside, at Sunset Avenue. And that’s where we left them!
On the left, we’ve got Claire, and Caroline is on the right.
Note: I got a new computer recently and thus had to reinstall Sims 2. I only noticed after playing this household that the picture settings were set to low/medium, hence the crappy picture quality below… It gets better again after this update so I hope you bear with me!
At the end of last season, Caroline Walker and her girlfriend Claire Bransfield moved out of their small apartment and into a beautiful home of their own at the sea side, as Sunset Avenue.
Last season, Claire reached her LTW of becoming a Hall of Famer (top Athletic), so I want her to get a job in Business next, to help work towards a new Business District. Her new LTW is to have 5 top level businesses, which fits in nicely with that. Although I’m not sure yet if I’m going to attempt that.
Caroline and Claire loved all the space they had in their new home. They even had a small garden that looked out on the sea!
Caroline got promoted to Headliner!
That night, the two went to Cocktails & Comedy to work for a bit. They got the venue up to level 5, earning the last of the cash bonuses. That’ll come in handy when they have to buy the next business.
When they got home, Caroline transferred the ownership of the lot to Claire, for her LTW. I might as well give it a go, right?
These two are still the cutest couple ever. I’m still debating what to do with them. They’re not the kind of couple to get married, but I do really want them to have at least one kid together.
Hold that thought. Just as I typed that down in my notes, I saw that Claire had rolled the want to get married to Caroline! But she rolled the fear at the same time… I locked the want for now, though.
In the meantime, Claire and Caroline went to Cocktails & Comedy again to work at both of their LTWs at the same time. Caroline wants to have 50 dream dates, so they had quite a few of them while at the club. I get bored of them having the same date over and over again, though.
They got the venue up to level 10 and also had a good amount of dream dates! But 50 is a lot, man… I like the 5 top level businesses LTW a lot better than the 50 dream dates one!
After a good night’s sleep, Caroline bought a new business: Mirage Gallery.
It’s an art gallery, obviously. They got a good review and The Best of the Best Award within 3 hours of opening. They got the store to a symbolic level 1 and then left again.
After three days, Claire found the job in Business she was after. She starts as Executive (level 5). Too bad she didn’t find one earlier, or she might have made it a good way to the top, being permaplat and all.
Caroline took up sewing, as she rolled the want to buy a sewing machine, and then to sew a project.
Claire got promoted to Senior Manager on her first day.
They decided to adopt a kitten! This is Raisin, one of the kittens the Burkes put up for adoption earlier in the season.
Caroline got promoted to Prestidigitator, which is level 10 of Entertainment. That unlocks one position in Show Business!
And then she got the shock of her life: she got a baby bump! This is the first same-sex pregnancy on Blueberry Island; it’s quite the medical marvel.
Although it was quite the surprise (to them at least), they were both very happy with it.
Caroline invited over her parents to let them see the new house and to announce the happy news. Christy is clearly surprised!
They all had breakfast together and they had a lovely time.
Claire came home with a promotion to Vice President.
She got to know Jake over a game of chess.
They all had a late lunch and then Jake and Christy left again.
Claire went over to Mirage Gallery to work for a bit. She hired Ginger Newson as restocker and got the business up to level 4 before she left again.
And that’s the end of the season for this family! I’m really looking forward to seeing what the baby will look like… I hope you enjoyed this update, Happy Simming!
