Long time no read, I know… I’ve been busy with exams and essays and stuff like that for the past month, but now I’m done so I’m back to simming! Besides this Apocalypse I’ve been working on another project, namely a BaCC, so be on the look out for that one :-) I hope to upload the first update soon.
Anyway, back to the McHeroes! A small recap: Last time our heir Jane gave birth to her second daughter Flora, and her other daughter Fiona grew up to a child. The dog Balin reached the top of the Service Pet career, and moved out of the house. Joel, the second generation spare, is slowly working towards topping the Journalism career and has three more promotions to go. Flora became a toddler, and Jane grew up to Elder (all alone, in the bathroom, because I forgot…). And that’s it!
I got so frustrated by Cris’ ghost that I was thinking about letting someone else smash his grave, but then I found out Sims can’t be directed to smash graves… So he will continue scaring the living daylights out of the other Sims for now. *sigh*
Because Cris mostly bugged the Sims sleeping in his old bed (or, the bed that’s in the place of his old bed – it’s not technically the same bed because of the Crime restriction) I decided to buy another bed for Jane or Mitch to sleep in when Cris’ ghost is out on the loose.
Poor Mitch had to sleep in Mandy’s coffin to keep Cris away. I would just sleep on the floor then. No freakin’ way I’m ever sleeping in a coffin… o.O Luckily Sims don’t have those kind of inhibitions.
Ouch. He looks so defeated… It made me think of this hilarious scene from Supernatural:
Fiona’s last days of childhood are spent playing chess. I can’t wait until she’s a teenager.
Mainly because of this…
Yay, Joel got another promotion, even though he wasn’t permaplat and it was his first day at his new position. He’s now an Investigatory Journalist. Only two more promotions to go!
Practically the only directed contact these Sims have is talking about their hobbies (and playing Red Hands). I don’t do much more than that, the rest is up to them! This does result in Jane and Mitch hardly having any romantic interaction, which I think is a bit sad… Is it really nothing more than an arranged marriage? :-(
If you’re wondering what Mandy does all night when everyone’s asleep… It’s basically this. Playing chess. All night long.
Oh, and taking Flora out of her crib when she starts crying.
I guess after a lifetime of handwashing you need some variation in how to do it…
Those poor Sims really are bored out of their brains: Jane and Mitch congratulated each other five times in a row.
I think Mitch is the one who’s the most bored (and boring, but that’s another story). He came in the household with his career topped and has just been hanging around ever since. Eating, sponge bathing, playing chess, and taking care of his kids, but even that isn’t taking up a lot of his time since there are four adults in the household.
Poor Flora is a bit forgotten at times. She’s really cute, though!
And she loves her Mummy! :-)
Time for a birthday! And one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time, too.
Bloody Mitch, with his glitched chess arm, *and* face…
Anyway, Fiona grew up happily (thank Plumbbob), and she’s a really cute Sim as well! I gave her Knowledge as aspiration, because that seemed the most beneficial for an Apocalypse. Also, I randomised her gender preference with ACR, and she turned out to be gay, so that makes my decision for her to marry Demi Long a lot less difficult. You’re definitely looking at the new heir!
“Congratulations, honey! Can I have grandbabies now?”
“Uhm… Are you sure you’re not senile, Mum?”
Here’s a close up of Fiona’s face. I think she’s pretty in a non-face 1 way :-)
Yay, a dog walked by the lot! His name is Scout, but unfortunately he walked off just before we could adopt him. Why does that always happen?! Oh well, we’ll just have to wait a bit longer for a new pet. I’d rather have a cat this time anyway.
Sooo, I completely forgot to look at Flora’s age bar… 0 days left! Time to grow up!
N’awww, she’s a cutie! Her nose is rather large, but I like it! And I love the fact that she looks different from her sister! I’m getting sick of that hairstyle, though…
I noticed her sort of slouching when she walked to the school bus. Kids don’t always do that, right? I guess she doesn’t want to go to school. [insert rant about being lucky she’s able to here]
I really love Fiona! :-) And I’m so very glad the social worker can’t come and get her anymore. Unless she dies we are sure to have an heir for this generation *knocksonwood*
Flora is a cutie, but she does look a bit evil sometimes. She does only have one nice point, so that might have something to do with it…
I love Red Hands! This is the perfect way for Fiona and Flora to get their fun up before doing their homework. Or, well, Fiona doing Flora’s homework and then worrying about her own.
I don’t really pay a lot of attention to Jane anymore since she’s permaplat and has topped her career…
I feel bad for Fiona that she has to do her sister’s homework after having such a tough childhood herself, but it’s so convenient… Thanks for the tip, Lorin!
Joel got another promotion, and now there’s only one more to go before Journalism is finally lifted!
And on that happy note I’ll leave you for now! Hopefully there’ll be an update soon again. If it won’t be a McHero update, it’ll be a BaCC update!
Thanks for reading, and happy simming!
